Support Our Troops!

You may be like me and not agree with this war or why we are there, but please support our military men and women. Just putting a ribbon magnet on your car is not enough, we need to be pro-active. But, John, you say, I don't know what to do, I don't know anyone over seas. Well, here are some ideas: you could donate money, send a care package, donate your time to soldiers in recovery. Here are some links to help you decide. Thanks!

Any Soldier - send care packages to soldiers in harms way.

Cause-USA - Check out the "programs" tab.

Other Efforts

Remember, these brave men and women didn't ask to be in a war that makes no sense. But they are there, far from their family and loved ones. Lets stand behind them and let them know that we care!

"Two If By Land - One If By Sea" . . . .

Should be changed to "Two if by AIR, one if by sea". So our Commander-In-Chief is pushing forward a deal to allow the United Arab Emirates to take control of six of our U.S. ports. If the deal goes through they will have control on March 2. Many congressman are against the take over and are currently taking measures to slow down if not stop the take over. Now you may say the UAE are our friends. They have been helpful in the war on terrorism. Let me remind you that they also harbor terrorists. Remember the Cole? The 9/11 hijackers also used the UAE as an operational and financial base. The UAE has been an important transfer point for shipments of smuggled nuclear components sent to Iran, North Korea and Libya by a Pakistani scientist. The UAE doesn't care who "wins" the war or on what terms. They are in this for themselves as is our President. If you don't think he's getting his back scratched for this deal - WAKE UP!!!!! And if the UAE does take control of these six ports or even one port and down the road the Hamas or Al Qaeda or some other radical group pays enough money, we'll have another 9/11 situation on our hands. All this, thanks to GW!

We need to take control of our borders, people! Not allow an ARAB nation to come willing into our country. This can only spell disaster. It's time to overhaul our government, take big business out of the equation and let the people take over. Our forefathers are turning over in their graves. They weren't in it for the money, yet now, every politician in Washington is. Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.

The Great One

I'm sure you've heard about the scandal involving Wayne Gretzky. They have no proof that he was involved in any gambling but only by association have they all but tried and convicted him of "wrong doing." True his wife and assistant coach of the team he coaches and is part owner of have been found to be part of a large gambling ring. Even though his wife lives in California and he lives in Arizona, they figure he must be part of the whole thing if not running it himself. There is such a thin line between illegal gambling and legal gambling anyway. Oh, get off your high horse, have you never bought and scratched a lottery ticket or dropped a few quarters in a slot machine in any number of the legal casinos throughout America? I don't know about you, but I never claim the losses or winnings (like that would add up) on my taxes. The only thing wrong with the illegal gambling rings are that they don't pay taxes, whoop-dee-doo. I'm sure all the waitresses and other careers that accept tips report all of their earning, also. Yeah, right.

Back to Gretzky, so what if he was gambling. They've seized all the records and none of the betting was on hockey. So lets treat him ala Pete Rose. Same situation - Gretzky is retired and coaching a team, so was Rose. Should we ban Gretzky from the Hall Of Fame - hockey's most revered player? HOG WASH!

What we need to do is worry about more important things like the fact that our men and women fighting this ridiculous war don't have the proper armor to protect themselves. Their limbs are being blown off every day. What is the agenda over there, any way? Are we still fighting for democracy? Why is it taking so long to find Osama Bin Laden? What about the poverty in this country? It's time we start worrying about the important things!

"Death to America"

That and other "hate" slogans were among those shouted throughout the Middle East in recent days in protest to a cartoon published last September by a Danish newspaper. Just a few hours ago in LAHORE, Pakistan demonstrators were targeting and vandalizing American brands like Citibank, Holiday Inn, Pizza Hut, KFC and McDonald's. Now I can understand being upset, but America had nothing to do with it. These Muslims who say they are mad because of the cartoon depicting Muhammad as blasphemous are merely looking for a reason to riot. If that were truly the reason, why would they target American brands? No, they are jealous of our freedom and way of life. They have been oppressed for centuries and we come over there with our democracy and freedom and they feel threatened. I say, pull our companies out of the Middle East, pull our troops out of there, pull our money out of there and let them all kill themselves! When the blood bath is over, we can go in and get all the oil we want. If only it were that simple.

The standards these people live by is below our comprehension. They would kill themselves while blowing up children and innocent people as well as there own kind for the good of Muhammad. What a load of crap! If these people are so easy to brain wash, we need to kidnap them and teach them to do good in Africa for all the starving people there and elsewhere in the world. Maybe send some of them to Antarctica to help explore there. Maybe use them for scientific testing instead of animals - oh wait, that would be the same thing!

CAUTION . . . . . REPUBLICANS AT WORK

This past week-end, Dick Cheney, our Vice-President shot one of his hunting buddies in the face. Now, I know this was an accident, but really, isn't Cheney too old to be traipsing in the woods with live ammo? The guy he shot was 78, for crying out loud. Luckily Cheney's medical staff was on hand to take care of the guy. That's another thing, Cheney has a complete medical team follow him around and has an ambulance on call just in case he has another heart attack. How much is that costing the American tax payers? After his friend was taken to the hospital, Cheney and crew sat down to dinner at the ranch where they were hunting, HELLO! Does this sound like something a friend would do? I would have gone to the hospital with my friend to see that he was alright, I could eat later! Now all this happened on Saturday, yet the White House (GW Bush) waited until Sunday afternoon to report it. Just more attempted cover-up by our esteemed B.S. artist. Remember, we are talking about the man who is supposed to have our safety and good will in mind. He is, after all, running this country and making decisions in the best interest of America, or is he? Wait a minute . . . .I forgot I was talking about GW the guy who sat silent, not knowing what to do for several seconds, flabbergasted, after being told that we were under attack on 9-11-01.

This administration makes me sick! Our country is being run into the ground by blundering idiots! And there is talk of Cheney being impeached for leaking information. If Cheney is impeached who would really be running the country? I don't think Hillary is available at the moment!

This just in - Harry Whittington, Cheney's lawyer friend that he shot has just suffered a heart attack due to bird pellet lodged in his heart.
