Save The Internet

As more people become computer literate, the cyber "air waves" become more congested. When music, movie, and other large files are downloaded, it slows down the internet. When more people log onto MySpace and other popular sights and at high volume times of the day, the internet slows down. Now the big companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast and lobbying congress to add fees to websights that are high traffic and continually offer large file downloads. These sights will eventually pass the fee onto us, the little guys.

Those of you who know me, know that I check everything through Snopes and I am telling you that this is the real deal. Contact your congressman and tell them to leave the internet as it is, a free medium. Help to protect your first amendment rights. There are sights available to contact your congressmen via e-mail.

This is only the start of "Big Brother" meddling into our affairs. It's the government and other big companies that want to tell us how to run our lives. We must stand up against them now before it's too late!
Pease join me in this fight to protect our freedom and our future.

And That's What I Think!

I can tell you that I will never pay for anything. We already pay an arm and a leg for access to the internet at a decent rate. I'm not giving them any more of my money. The sights that do charge won't make a profit and eventually fold because no one wants to pay for it. I somehow feel like they are going to turn this into package deals like with Dish and DirecTV. There will be your basic level, limited to x amount of bytes downloaded per month, etc. . . . That would be a bunch of crap.

I agree with Jenny. It's like Napster, now that was illegal and all, but that tried to make it into a pay site and now it's just barley hanging on. There is just too many other ways to download music and other files now. The people will always find a way.
