"IN GOD WE TRUST"
A local school (Keller, Texas) has decided that they would put the new design of the U.S. Nickel on their year book, but omit the words "In God We Trust" from the picture as to not offend people of other religions. The school's name is Liberty Elementary and they thought it fitting to include the new nickel design because it boasts the word liberty on it. You may have seen this as it has attracted national attention.
This offends me! I am sick and tired of these P.C. (polliticaly correct) people telling me what is acceptable. Whether you believe in the words or not is irrelevant, that is the motto of the United Sates Of America. Our founding fathers set forth a new nation, under God, etc. This country was based on freedom of religion, yet settle by Christians. You can't change the past. Our motto is: "IN GOD WE TRUST". It is on our money, ALL of our money. And used to be on all of our government buildings. If you don't like what this country stands for and respect our founding fathers, please leave, us real Americans don't need you here.
I hope you P.C. people are reading this, because you are whom this post is for . . . I don't celebrate holiday vacation, it's Christmas vacation. No holiday tree at my house, it's a Christmas tree, with Christmas decorations! And my family enjoys a game called "Chinese Gift Exchange" and it has nothing to do with the Chinese! I think you get my point.
They say that 85% of America is Christian, why then are we so worried about offending other people's religions and not standing up for our own?
I'm tired of worrying about "other" religions. Before you come to this country you should know what our history is. Don't take offense to the fact that Christians settled it, deal with it or leave!
You Better Believe That's What I Think!!!!

You tell em', this got me steaming from just reading about it. If you don't want to agree with what America stands for then leave, and don't let the door hit you in the butt, as the saying goes.
Because it is "IN GOD WE TRUST"

It does not specify in a Christian, Catholic, Muslim, etc., God we trust. It simply states "IN GOD WE TRUST" so no religion should be offended. Ninety-two percent of Americans say they believe in some form of higher power, so how is this offensive?
Are we doing this to ourselves?
Trying to please everyone else?
If your an atheist, than your probably your own god, and I really don't care if it offends you. Sorry.
Don't cry seperation of church and state either.
The separation of church and state just means that Congress shall not impose a state religion on the populace.
Religious/Spiritual language is used in the founding documents of this great country from the Declaration of Independence and the National anthem, to our currency.
You can't walk into a store and buy groceries with scripture, however if you present a piece of paper printed by the government you can buy anything. Should it say "IN MONEY WE TRUST"?
I won't tell you to get out of the country if your offended by those simple words, but I would ask you to respect the large percentage of people that do believe and oppose all this nonsense. Also, the history on which this great nation was built. This Nation Under God.
